VALENTINE'S DINNER - SUNDAY 14TH FEBRUARY

Could there be a more romantic place to enjoy dinner on Valentine's Night than
Swinfen Hall Hotel - the baby grand being played in the foyer, log fires
crackling in the grates, beautiful flowers and soft candle light.
Tim has written a lovely four-course menu, which includes - Oysters
(of course), Lobster ravioli with baby leeks and basil puree, Fillet of
Aberdeen Angus beef with caramelised vegetables, a Chocolate Assiette to
share and a luscious Apple Tart Tatin with vanilla pod ice-cream. The full

Tables may be booked in either The Four Seasons Restaurant or The Benjamin
Wyatt Room (the original dining room at Swinfen Hall) but space is limited
and this is an extremely popular date. Dinner, including Champagne and
canapés on arrival and coffee and petit fours, is priced at
£55 per person.
We are also offering a 50% discount on all bedrooms and suites to guests
dining with us that night. After discount, rates start at £82.50
for a double room including VAT and full English breakfast for two people.

LADIES LUNCHEON - MONDAY 22ND FEBRUARY
with Sandra Shaw of Secret Garden Florists
We are delighted to welcome back Sandra Shaw and her team from Secret Garden
Florists in Lichfield. Sandra's presentation always offers both enlightenment
and entertainment. This time she will be taking a fresh look at spring
flowers and creating some very lovely arrangements - both modern
and traditional.
As before, there will be welcome coffee at 11.30 am followed by the
demonstration in the ballroom at 12 o'clock. A delicious light three-course
lunch will then be served in the restaurant.
Tickets are priced at £26.00 and include morning coffee, the
demonstration, three-course lunch, a glass of wine and coffee.
SWINFEN HALL HOTEL WEDDING OPEN DAY
Sunday 28th February 1pm - 4 pm
If you are planning a wedding, please come and join us on Sunday 28th February
for our annual Spring Wedding Fair. Our Weddings Manager, Ruth and the
management team will be on hand to show you around the hotel and to explain
the options and facilities available. The Chefs will be advising on menu
planning and seasonal produce and the Restaurant Manager will be dispensing
wine tasting and advice in equal measure. There will also be a display of
wedding and bridesmaids dresses and men's dress hire.
A good number of our trusted wedding suppliers will be demonstrating their
skills and products. These include florists, photographers, musicians,
specialist cake-makers, bespoke stationers, vintage wedding cars, to name
but a few.
There is ample free parking, a licensed bar and afternoon tea will be served
from 1.00 pm - 4.00 pm.
THE GAME SUPPER - FRIDAY 5TH MARCH
Featuring our home-reared Venison
Sika deer were introduced to Britain in the 18th-century from the Far East
and were soon well-established not only because they are a very attractive
and sociable breed but also because they provide the finest venison.
Having introduced 2 stags and 12 hinds to the park five years ago, we now
have a very healthy and happy herd of 65 sika deer.
Our annual Game Supper is a celebration of our own home-reared venison and
this year the menu includes Venison "Wellington" which we have teamed up
with the wonderful 2002 vintage of Chateau Musar.
The evening begins with Champagne and canapés in the cocktail lounge
and then dinner follows in the Four Seasons Restaurant. There is a five
course menu, with each dish accompanied by a carefully-selected wine from
our cellars. We limit numbers to a maximum of 45 to keep a house-party
atmosphere, so please contact as soon as possible if you would like to join
us for the evening.
Tickets include the Champagne reception, a five course gourmet dinner with
accompanying wines and coffee & petit fours and are priced at £69.50
per person.
We also offer a 30% discount on all bedrooms and suites to guests attending
the gourmet night.
MOTHERING SUNDAY - SUNDAY 14TH MARCH
£42.50 per person - £17.50 children aged 3-12
One of the most popular events of the year and quite rightly too! Tim has
written a special Mothering Sunday menu featuring many of our year-round
favourites including Roast Sirloin of Aberdeen Angus Beef, Roast Loin of
Pork complete with crackling & apple sauce and Pan fried Halibut with
Crushed New Potatoes and Crayfish Beurre Blanc. The desserts range from
a delicate Vanilla Créme Brulee with Orange sable biscuits to a
traditional steamed treacle sponge pudding with créme Anglaise.

For those of you not yet in the know, here's the deal. Book a table for
dinner in the Four Seasons Restaurant on one of the above dates and you
can stay overnight for half the advertised rate. With discount, prices
start from £90.00 for a room and that includes VAT and full English
breakfast for two people.
Our bedrooms and suites are individually furnished and although they vary
greatly in size and aspect, they all offer luxurious 100% goose down duvets,
Egyptian cotton sheets, bathrobes, hospitality tray, satellite television,
DVD player, IPOD docking station and free wi-fi access. Check in time is
2.00 pm and check-out the following morning is at 11.00 am
