The South Wing, built in the Edwardian period by Colonel Michael Swinfen-Broun, reflects the elegance and splendour of that age. An extensive part of the wing is an oak-panelled ballroom which has a raised stage and fully sprung dance floor. The ballroom can comfortably seat up to 110 guests for a wedding breakfast and with the adjoining bar, can accommodate up to 160 guests for an evening party.
Saturday church weddings may still be extremely popular but with the flexibility of civil wedding ceremonies being held on any day of the week, there are many more options available.
Our pricing structure is built around a number of different factors but also takes into account your own individual requirements. Prices vary according to the time of the year and on what day of the week your wedding takes place.
If you want to get married on a Saturday during the Summer months you will be paying peak prices. If you consider the Friday or the Sunday there is a considerable saving. If you are just as happy to get married at a quieter time of the year this again offers further savings.
Wedding receptions for dates in 2008 and 2009 are currently being quoted at £85 to £130 per person.
